METAL SERVICES Group
METAL SERVICES Group Since 1989, the METAL SERVICES Group has been a brand with its own companies operating in the business of laboratory testing of metallic and non-metallic materials: chemical analysis, mechanical testing, corrosion, metallography, welding and non-destructive testing inspection and testing activities supervised by third-party inspectors, simulated heat treatment and consultancy on the mandatory regulations applicable to the sector, and training in the relevant business areas.
To date, the Group consists of:
• Two Testing Laboratories in Italy: METAL SERVICES MATERIALS TESTING and LAB.MET.
• A Workshop in China owned and operated under the full responsibility of the Group’s management: SUZHOU METAL SERVICES Co. LTD
• A non-destructive testing company operating in the field: NDT SERVICES
The sectors served by the laboratory are many: from the mining and steel industry to the petrochemical and oil & gas industries, from the mechanical and engineering industry to light, medium and heavy carpentry, from the automotive and recently also the aeronautics industry, from shipbuilding to the white goods and white goods sector in general, to continue with construction and building materials, from packaging to containers, autoclaves and tanks for wine, food, etc.
All this dealing daily with different types of materials that the customer submits to the Laboratory for Production or Third Party Tests and Inspections, or for which assistance, training or consultancy is requested in the use or application of special processes such as welding, corrosion, heat treatments, surface coatings: steels, stainless steels, Inconel, Monel, Duplex and Super Duplex alloys, Bronze alloys, Aluminium, Copper, etc. as a quote of the main ones.
Today, the METAL SERVICES Group has a strong market presence in North East Italy as well as in neighbouring countries with two testing laboratories and one service company in the field of Non Destructive On-site Testing and welding.
In China, thanks to the expediting and supplier control activities, the development of a local METAL SERVICES management laboratory completes the range of services available to all customers.

In 30 years, our Group has grown a lot, not only in the number of tests performed and human resources, but particularly in terms of know-how and technological equipment.

CHEMICAL ANALYSES
The chemical composition of a metal alloy is the starting point for a correct classification of the material itself.
CORROSION TESTS
The specifications and requirements for these tests are nowadays increasingly present in the specifications of the major players in the various production sectors.
METALLOGRAPHIC EXAMINATIONS
They allow the physical structure of metals to be determined on several levels of investigation at macrographic or micrographic level, and with several techniques combined.
MECHANICAL TESTS
They are used for the correct and complete classification of materials as well as to investigate the correct execution of all production processes.
WELDING
preparatory activities for the qualification of manual and automatic welding procedures, brazing procedures and welders are carried out.
MACHINING
Our in-house workshops are equipped for the preparation of samples for third parties, guaranteeing cost and time savings.
CONSULTANCY AND TRAINING
Our technical staff carries out technical consultancy in the fields of Non-Destructive Testing, Welding and Metallurgy. We also provide catalogue or ad hoc training on specific customer requirements.
NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING
Search and identification of defects that may be present within the structure itself. They are applicable throughout the production process.
