NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING
Non Destructive Testing (NDT) is the set of analyses, checks and tests conducted using investigation methods that do not alter the material or artefact and therefore do not require its destruction or the removal of any samples from its structure.
They are aimed at searching for and identifying defects that may be present within the structure itself. They are applicable throughout the production process: from checking the raw material used, through the semi-finished product to the finished product before or after it has been put into operation. They are used during plant maintenance to check the integrity of the structure.
Non-destructive testing is one of the main investigation techniques to check the condition of welds.
The NDT SERVICES SRL Group brand operates with II and III level certified personnel according to ISO 9712 and SNT TC1A. It carries out work at the customer’s premises to test and inspection specifications provided for the individual item to be inspected, providing conformity or highlighting areas where defects are present. The synergy with the rest of the Group’s laboratories allows NDT SERVICES to offer itself as a company for the characterisation of sample blocks for the calibration of the instrumentation used during inspection (e.g. sample blocks for ultrasonic testing).

Training & Certification
In addition to testing and inspection activities, there is a department dedicated to training in NDT. All the training provided is preparatory for the Level I and II certification examinations for operators working in the field of Non Destructive Testing.

The department’s services are completed by inspection and control activities in the field performed by qualified professionals for the monitoring of job orders characterised by short/medium/long-term control plans: monitoring of welds and on the personnel assigned to their execution, monitoring of the progress of the job order, monitoring of the status of controls and on the personnel assigned to their execution.
